The largest natural disaster in Hawaiian history has left us with unimaginable loss and sorrow. As we join with those to mourn the loss of loved ones, pets, homes, buildings and businesses, it is good to remind those on Maui that they are not alone.
Maui has a lot of healing to do and it can use your help with all the challenges that lie ahead.
Giving to Maui
Due to logistics, storage and distribution limitations, Maui authorities request making financial donations rather than physical donations. The following organizations provide resources for disaster response and recovery for those communities affected by the wildfires on Maui:
American Red Cross of Hawaii – helping anyone in need after the Maui fires.
Hawaii Chamber of Commerce Foundation – Maui business relief fund.
Hawaii Community Foundation | Maui Strong Fund – support for communities affected by the wildfires on Maui.
Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement – Kāko‘o Maui Fundraiser.
Maui Food Bank – helping the hungry on Maui by collecting and distributing food through community partnerships.
Maui Humane Society – protects and saves the lives of Maui’s animals.
Maui United Way – Maui fire disaster relief efforts.
University of Hawaii Foundation Help Maui Fund – funds to help Maui students and their families.
Helping the Parrish Maui Ohana
We are happy to report that all of our local Parrish Maui team and their families are safe and accounted for. However, several have lost their family home and all possessions. We at Parrish Kauai have started a GoFundMe to support those team directly effected:
Relief Fund for the Parrish Maui Ohana – The Parrish Collection Ohana is raising funds to directly support those Maui team members that have been impacted.
We want to thank Maui’s firefighters, first responders and volunteers for all their heroic efforts.
In the months, and most likely years, we all at Parrish Kauai will work to help Maui heal and rebuild. We ask that you join us and kokua.
Mahalo nui loa.
