Fantastic home!

Ten of us stayed at Hale Ilikai and we all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room and very comfortable. We used the kitchen a lot and everything worked well. We had one question while we were there and response was quick and very helpful. The view is amazing- really beautiful. We spent so much time on the porch and ate breakfast there every morning. Wonderful way to start the day. On top of all that, location was really convenient. We had a great time.

Stunning Oceanfront House!

This house was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 children. There is a front lawn and hot tub and ocean views from 2 bedrooms and the living room. We had all our meals on the spacious lanai. What a wonderful time we had here in this beautiful house!

LOVED THIS PLACE.

Firstly, parishkauai is awesome. The nicest people and so accommodating. All in all they made this trip so nice. Everyone loved it in my family. Something to do for two year olds to over 75. The house was perfect and worked out perfectly for everyone in my family. We would definitely do it again!! If you have the opportunity, don’t hesitate!!

Loved our Stay at this property

This property was everything plus more that what we imagined before getting there. The front grassy area out front overlooking the ocean and waves was the best. The rocking chairs on the deck were so relaxing to spent time after a day exploring the island. I can’t say enough good things about this property and we will be bringing the family back to stay here again soon.

What a fabulous property! Perfect size and layout for our family of 10 that stayed there. We spent hours on the lanai in the rocking chairs just watching and listening to the waves crash. The kitchen is huge, with every utensil you could possibly need. The bathrooms were great with tons of counter space. The kids spent evenings enjoying the hot tub. Having a grill in the back was also nice to have. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Kauai!

Peaceful and luxurious

This 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom oceanfront house was just as advertised, and just as nice. It was a very convenient location, yet also very private and quiet. We spent a lot of time on the large veranda on the oceanfront which had rocking chairs for a great place to relax watching and listening to the waves. We even spotted a few whales. There was also a large table for meals and games, lots of other chairs and sofas, and even lounge chairs on the grass down on the oceanfront. We had a few minor issues, and the property management company was always reachable and responsive when we called. P.S. Kauai has lots of chickens and roosters, and we had our own personal alarm clocks!

Just excellent!

Our party had 4 couples and a 4 yr old. The kitchen is very well equipped, the lanai is large and wonderful, and the common rooms spacious. There are 2 king bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a room with two queens and another with twin beds that can be pushed together into king bed configuration, both with en-suites. The fifth bedroom has a king bed with bathroom around the corner in the hall. Everyone reported that their beds were comfortable. The management company, Parrish Kuaui, was excellent to work with and very responsive to our questions and requests.

Beautiful view!

The house was beautiful with a view to match. Plenty of room for 8 adults, with various places to spread out and relax. Huge kitchen with everything we needed. The one thing not mentioned in the description is they have an assortment of beach chairs and snorkel gear in the garage to borrow. We had a couple of issues (propane was empty) but they were quick to respond on a holiday and replaced it within hours. I would love to stay here again!

View. Location. Spaciousness.

As the President of a Property Management Company in California, I understand the importance of providing Quality Accommodations. Therefore, I always select Parrish when I visit Hawaii as their rentals are always clean, well appointed, and offer premier views. Our home we rented, in Lawai, exceeded our expectations with phenomenal Sunrise & Sunset Views each day. We spent endless hours on the back, private patio, viewing AND listening to the beautiful ocean. Dozens of Birds sang from the trees and returned each evening in a remarkable display. The house was very comfortable and with 8 adults and 1 baby, we never felt like we could not have private relaxation time or be able to spread out. The large living area, with a full ocean view, was the perfect spot for lounging, playing games and eating. This was the perfect location and our best Family Vacation Ever! Thanks Parrish!!!

Nice Family / Friend Stay

We had a couple back and forth initially with missing keys and some maintenance issues, but overall the property is comfortable and close to many beachs, shopping and restaurants. We especially loved the back deck and watching the sunrise, sunset and the sea turtles. Good times.

Thanksgiving in paradise

Exceptional...

The location-right on the water. There will several issues-not enough dining chairs for house occupants, minor plumbing issues, window shade issues and kitchen stocking issues. Every issue was handled promptly by Parrish which was much appreciated.

Amazing house with everything one can need available.

The house had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our group and the location of property. In the future though the service will absolutely lead me to book through Parrish again. Jamie was amazing!!! We have rented several residences on Kauai, and this was the most and best equipped -- there was NOTHING that we needed, as it was already there!! Jaime was INCREDIBLE!! She walked us through the residence, showing us all aspects of the facilities. It was a complete and thorough introduction that made our stay so much easier!! Power outage, and shower faucet in back bedroom does need work but we made do and did not report it while there.

Awesome view to the ocean. Five bedrooms with individual baths.

Jaime went beyond call of duty as she welcomed us as she had just suffered the loss of her father. We offer or condolences to her and thanks as well. Would love to have a web cam which looks out to the ocean from the lanai. Front and back door locks stick -- broke key trying to open. Repaired but still seems iffy. Media center and Sound system in living room is a bit dated. Streaming music and movies was difficult.

The host, the app was great and the customer service was very good.

Great place. Could use a little updating and a bigger couch- pictures showed bigger one) and a good cleaning of light fixtures and high up areas. Overall, super comfortable and perfect for our family. 2nd bedroom off the patio needs dressers! No where to store clothes other to hang. Not one drawer for underwear and socks and bathing suits and such. That would be ideal. All other bedrooms had such a space. Outdoor patio and lawn area was not as pictured. Less lawn furniture and no hammock. And patio had rockers versus big comfy chairs. The space lay out is great. 3 families each had their space. Everyone could enjoy and have quiet time. Double dishwashers!! Jaime our island host was great. = ).

Terrific house.

Christie Volkmer. She was extremely responsive, professional, and friendly. She provided excellent recommendations on groceries, restaurants, shopping and activities. She was invaluable to our family vacation experience being stress free and unforgettable. We made some great memories -- thank you! Home was larger than we expected with two family sitting rooms. Really was fantastic and walking distance to so many activities. Turtles play in the surf every evening and we saw two whales off our view from the deck. Kitchen contained two ovens and two dishwashers and can easily accomodate a much larger group than ours, which was a surprise. Website was very accurate and it was even better than expected -- thank you! Amazing ocean front with turtle, whale and dolphin sightings daily off deck. Beautiful Sunrise and Sunset oceanside views. Location is terrific, within walking distance to three excellent swimming and snorkeling beaches, fishing, sight seeing, shopping and gardens. And the chickens and roosters in the backyard were fun little friends for the kids ???? We have stayed in other beautiful properties in the Caribbean and Hawaii, and our experience with Parrish ranked among the best. Thank you!

The house itself and the location. The concierge services.

Christie, our concierge. She was so friendly and helpful not only in planning, but during our stay. She also had great suggestions. She’s fabulous! During our stay we utilized the private chef services of JP Filion. He was not one of the original recommendations by Parrish staff, but we were extremely pleased with his food and our overall experience with him. I would highly recommend you add him to your list of recommended chefs should any guests inquire in the future. The website was very accurate, but doesn’t do the house justice. A floor plan would have been very helpful for planning. More photos of the living and dining area would also have been nice. I don’t recall seeing on the website whether the house had hair dryers available and that was also helpful information to have for planning. The a/c fan stopped working, but we were able to reset it and resolve it ourselves so we did not need assistance.

Next time, please recommend strongly that we need to have a longer visit!

The office contacted us well in advance to let us know our property would be under construction and suggested an other property. That property proved to be a perfect fit for us! Pretty much everything we loved.

The layout of the house. Each bedroom had its own bathroom the size of the kitchen and hands down the outdoor space and furniture. Ceiling fan in master was making noise but was repaired the same day we reported it. Everyone was pleased with the beds but the master bed was not very comfortable.

Amazing property for our family of 10!

This property was everything we could have hoped for! The floorplan allowed us to spend time together, or retreat to our only “quiet” place. All 5 bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The décor is beautiful, true to the property management’s website photos. It’s also handicap accessible with a lift. The lanai was by far the place most of our time was spent! We spent many hours sitting in the rocking chairs, enjoying the view… and the chickens. ???? The kids fought over the hammock in the yard, when they weren’t trying to catch a picture of the sea turtles who frequently popped their heads up right there in the rocks. We were also lucky enough to see a few whales breech. Lawai Beach is only a 5 minute walk from the house, and a great spot to snorkel. We were all excited to swim with the colorful fish and even a sea turtle. It would have been easy to spent our entire week right here in Poipu, but we made sure to explore the entire island and I’m glad we did. Thank you Kauai, for an amazing vacation!!

Overall our stay was amazing...

It was easy and true to expectations. Our initial interaction with the reservationist was perfect. She was very helpful, outlined all of the charges and gave us a courtesy 6 hr “hold” on our 1st choice property until we were able to confirm with both families in our party. The home is amazing! The lanai! What an amazing way to start and end your day. Honestly everything was perfect for our families. The floorplan was great. Everyone had the opportunity to be together, or take some quiet time to themselves. All website photos were true to actual property. Our only input would be to have more pots/pans/grill that would accommodate a larger party. We were 10 strong and so found the kitchen appliances a little small when trying to put out a meal. But we worked with it all was good. Some other points that maybe could be improved upon: knowledge about extras at the property. We had asked in the beginning if this property had any water toys, etc and the receptionist didn’t have any specific knowledge. Once we were there, we found water shoes, flippers and a variety of surf/body boards. Which we took advantage of, but would have loved to have known prior to arrival. Also, we were assigned an island host, Natalie, but at the time of our reservation, when we were trying to make reservations for other activities, she didn’t seem to provide the “premiere” touch. I felt that the information she recommended, could have just as easily and maybe more efficiently been provide by your concierge team. She did make contact with us closer to our arrival, and the phone calls from your staff to make sure all was in order was a nice touch. Natalie’s property welcome and check in was also very nice. As property manager’s ourselves, we thought that was a great way for you to put eyes on the renters. But again, when we asked Natalie if she had any must do’s or recommendations, she said without knowing more specific interests it would be hard to give recommendations. All in all, the positives of our experience and property rental were top notch. Thank you for making our Kauai visit one the families will always remember and cherish.

View, View, View.

Natalie was superior! From start to finish, Parrish was extremely professional. The reality is that, in the houses we’ve rented, your people have been the best. The pictures don’t do the view justice. You could enhance the description of being able to see sunrise and moonset. Also the cookware was high end. There were two dishwashers and two sinks. None of our 8 caught any of these features. Very cool! Anti-rooster spray? ???? Had one living in the bushes that woke us up at 4:30am every morning. I know there’s nothing we can do.

Our third rental with Parrish. Always seem to work just fine for us. No problems, kept getting reminders (which as good) to pick up the keys at the rental car counter. Maybe add a video of the property would be better to help show off the property. Need a big group to stay here 5bdr/5ba. Would like to have a pool on the property.Would like to see a rice cooker in the house. Thank you. Kauai is a special place.

Location location location...

…and there was not let down from photos to real thing….it was all amazing. Hostess was very good about calling a/c person who showed up in minutes. Very impressed!!! But they could not fix it until two day later after we called several times to have them back out. Not sure of her name but the hostess was great and her drinks were a great surprise and she had a very good attitude which started our vacation on the right track.

Parris's professionalism from start to finish.

All of the staff that we interfaced with were highly professional. This is a beautiful ocean front fome with all of the amenities. Very comfortable with an outstanding lanai. Whales, dolphin and turtles were abundent for viewing. It dosen’t get much beter that this. The beds were a little soft for my wife and I because we are used to a much firmer mattress, but all and all OK.

The lanai and views and Everything!!

Keep doing what you are doing…. It definitely works. Website is fabulous!! Only two tea towels…. The staff provided a ton of them after we requested them?? TV wasn’t working…. Was fixed promptly and efficiently. There were only two beach chairs, and for a house of ten people we felt it would be better to have at least two more! Your website gave better information and the reviews you receive are so outstanding we knew you had to be the best!

We all loved waking up on the ocean. Even if it was raining the deck was covered and plenty of room for all 10 of us. Great sound system, comfortable seating and an incredible view. Mike, called a few weeks before. He was very helpful and responded to every question and concern, even on his days off. The girls in the office were very helpful as well. The house was 5 star and the service from the Parish group was promp, friendly and professional. We loved the house it looked just like the pictures online.

my only real complaint about Hale Ilikai is that there was no drawer space at all in the 2nd ocean front bedroom. that makes it very difficult for guests for settle in. we actually moved in something from another bedroom but it wasn’t enough. and there weren’t nearly enough trash cans in the house (I bought one) or recycle bins. But we loved that place and Parrish!

Hale Ilikau was the perfect home for our group of 10 (three families) to enjoy beautiful Kauai. We could go our separate ways during the day and come home to a Mai Tai on the lanai and a dinner cooked to the best-equipped rental kitchen ever! Perfect!

We were very pleased. Mike was great! Treats upon arrival were very nice. I would emphasize 4 suites in this house. Best choice for 4-5 couples. Nice boogie boards and beach stuff. I would recommend offering a waffle iron or griddle and more lawn chairs. We were here 18 years ago and decided for too long and will not be that long again.
