Loved our stay. Shops were close and sitting on the balcony watching and listening to the ocean was great. Went snorkeling in the bay next to the pool. Swam with sea turtles that were hanging out there. We stayed 3 days and wished we had made it a little longer there. Alot of Airbnb's you need to purchase some items after the initial supply, but everything was there for us. Soap, shampoo, laundry soap. That was great and helped make the stay more enjoyable.

The pictures of this condo don’t do it justice! I vacationed here with my family for a birthday trip (4 of us in total) and the home was perfect. You can’t beat the views and the privacy, the kitchen is updated, and the home was clean & easy to access. We loved our stay here and will definitely be returning! The only thing I would note is that there isn’t central air throughout the condo, but they had a standing fan that we put in the guest room which made the heat bearable and the breeze from the windows being open in the main bedroom kept the house cool. Otherwise, it really was the perfect vacation home! We saw monks seals and sea turtles from the patio every morning as well.

25 years ago
Condo 230 was a welcoming place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. My husband and I were married on the grounds of Whalers Cove overlooking the ocean. We decided to go back for our 25th and bring our daughter so she could see why we loved Kauai so much. We noticed many changes on the island of Kauai. Busier but to be expected with more people that have moved to the island. However it was wonderful seeing that Whalers Cove was still the same. Very well maintained as it was 25 years ago. Updated interior to the condo we stayed in. The grounds were still as beautiful as they were 25 years ago. We watched the sunsets every evening on the same stone bench where we watched them 25 years ago. I wonder if the Koi in the pond outside the office are still some of the same…I know they can live a long time. They were definitely a welcoming sight since we had pictures by that area when we got married. My only complaint about the condo was the window in the tub/shower area…it was huge and I felt very much on display. I hung towels for privacy. Maybe some type of blind or shutter could be added?! Other than that everything else was wonderful. I had left my blow dryer and hair straightener behind and they were generously mailed back to me in Iowa. If you are thinking of a trip to Kauai please consider Whalers Cove for your stay. You will not be disappointed!

Could not have asked for more
We have stayed in Poipu many times before, but this was our first time staying at Whaler’s Cove. We stayed in unit 230, which is considered partial ocean view. Though we had considered upgrading to full ocean view, the views from our unit were stunning. We watched the sunrise every morning from our balcony and walked to the pool area to watch the sunset. Speaking of the pool, it was pristine and the water was a perfect temperature. The condo was clean, nicely furnished, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Additionally, there was snorkel access right next to the property, making it easy to get in the water and swim with the turtles and other fish that were always in the area. Marianne and the rest of the staff were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect.

Wonderful Time Spent At Whalers Cove!!!
Last month my girlfriend and I, with our two daughters, spent a wonderful time at Whalers Cove! We had no expectations of where we were staying but upon our arrival we were blown away by the beauty of the property! We were greeted by Marianne, who by the way was such a great host at Whalers Cove, always with great aloha spirit.
We had rented a two bedroom condo there ( #230) and it was everything we wanted and more! Ocean view, very pleasant decor, and also very spacious for all four of us! The bedrooms were great in size and they each had their own bathrooms with showers. The kitchen was wonderful also. Breakfast and coffee every morning on our balcony overlooking the ocean.
I would absolutely recommend Whalers Cove to anyone who wants a beautiful stay on Kauai at Poipu. From the property itself to the accommodations to Marianne and her wonderful staff!

Just perfect!
This completely blew us away! When we walked in, we weren’t expecting to see a two floor unit. We were in room 230 which was so nice and had a great view of the pool and ocean. I was nervous the pool would be loud but it’s very quiet at the property which was so peaceful. No AC but with the windows open it’s plenty comfortable and nice being able to hear the waves roll in. The kitchen seemed well equipped and it was convenient being able to do laundry while we were there. What I loved most about the Whalers Cove was the hospitality from Marianne! Excellent quick communication and I felt she really went above and beyond to help out. I would 100% recommend!
