Million Dollar View
The ocean views are spectacular. Located in a quiet neighborhood but close to dining and shopping. Easy walking distance to Baby Beach but it's not that impressive. We ended up driving to Poipu Beach instead. The condo is mostly well-equipped in the kitchen as well as with beach equipment and coolers. We had issues with the washer/dryer, which needs to be repaired or replaced. The living room and patio furniture were not the most comfortable for us. Good outside airflow made up for the lack of A/C.

Die Unterkunft hat alles was man braucht, ist auf zwei ebenen, die Schlafzimmer sind oben. Die Aussicht war super und wir hatten auch wunderschönen Sternenhimmel. Die Matratzen waren super gut nur das Bettgestell hat etwas geknarrt. Die Kücher verfügt über alles was man Braucht.

Beautiful Ocean View
Very clean unit. When we weren't out and about we enjoyed spending our time sitting out on the Lanai taking in the view of the ocean and sea life. One morning while drinking our coffee we watched a pod of Dolphins jumping and surfing in on the waves. The one downfall, no air conditioning. But if not an issue for you it's a nice place to stay on Kauai.

Simply Breathtaking!
This condo was incredible - the oceanfront view from the balcony and master bedroom/ bath....it's hard to put into words how amazing this view is. We saw turtles all hours of the day and were lucky enough to see dolphins in the morning. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids and it was never overly crowded. Location is perfect, with plenty of things within walking distance - stores and shopping center with a few restaurants. We can't wait to come back some day!

Ocean front sunrise and sunset on the balcony!
Property in a great location and clean and all the basics. Very comfortable beds. The balcony is outstanding! Sunrise and sunset, whale and turtle watching! Great snorkeling location and fun to watch the night time underwater scuba divers ( blue underwater lights) Star gazing spectacular! Mahalo!!

Excellent stay
Wonderful location and amazing property. We were so happy to find this gem. Nice, quiet location but close to the best shopping center. We were glad it was not a big resort style place. We had a fantastic stay on Kauai. The property was very clean, quiet and in an excellent location. The views were incredible! Easy walking to many restaurants and shops but very quiet and private. Turtles galore in the cove! The staff at Parrish were excellent communicators and always responded quickly to our inquiries. They even welcomed us with a beautiful bottle of champagne to toast our anniversary trip. Excellent service all around. Highly recommend! We’ll be back to stay again!

Everything was nigh on perfect.
Our accommodations were located right on the water, immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. While shopping and fine dining were within easy walking distance, our immediate surroundings were blissfully quiet and private. Our nine day stay was just marvelous in every way.

Love Whalers 137

Unbelievable property
This is one magical condo. It sits just feet from a sea wall along the shore in lovely Poipu. From the main bedroom, all you see is the water, which lulled us into a deep sleep every night. The main bath’s walk-in shower boasts a huge window that brought the ocean even closer. I’m very critical of living room furniture. It has to be ample, comfy and well placed. We were not disappointed. The kitchen was nicely stocked, though plastic tumblers would have been welcome. Appreciated the beach chairs, mats, umbrella and several coolers, all in great condition. Even with no A/C, we kept cool with open windows and the living room slider. Loved the in-room safe, a nice addition. Bathrooms had great towels and ample toiletries. The main bedroom bed was a little soft for me, so if a firm mattress is a must, try one of the beds in the second bedroom. The management company was a dream to work with. Just outstanding customer service at every turn. We can’t wait to come back.

Both shower heads were barely functional You could not get soap out of hair. Both need replacement

We checked in when the virus situation was starting to be addressed and Parrish was working on its “safe social distancing” and how to do check-ins. Everyone did very well under stressful conditions. Amazing! We couldn't have asked for more (except time!)
Our first time on Kauai was better than we could have ever anticipated! We had amazing experiences each day and couldn’t wait to get back to our “home away from home” at Whalers Cove #137! The amenities provided, appreciated space for our family of 4 and cleanliness of the condo made our stay very relaxing! BUT the VIEWS!!! I can’t say enough about the location of this beautiful property! From the sounds of the ocean lulling us to sleep each evening to our happy hours on the large lanai, watching the turtles and whales, it was very difficult to leave!! Mahalo for making our 1st of what we hope to be many more visits to the island and Whalers Cove #137 memorable!!

More than we could have ever hoped for!!
Everything about our 1st vacation to Kauai was beyond our expectations! After each day spent experiencing the sights of the island, we couldn’t wait to return to our beautiful “home away from home” at Whalers Cove!! The condo was very clean and supplied with everything that we needed to be comfortable. BUT the large lanai and the AMAZING views were what we really looked forward to enjoying each evening! Listening to the ocean lulling us to sleep every night and watching the whales and turtles (and enjoying happy hour!) from the lanai became the favorite part of our day! For our family of four, the condo provided the perfect amount of space so that everyone was comfortable and it truly felt like home! Thank you also for the beach chairs, boogie board, cooler and umbrella…..one less thing that we needed to buy! With every vacation, it is always sad to leave! Being that we had made this our home in such a short time, it made it even more difficult to say goodbye! Mahalo! Until next time!!

Beautiful view in a really convenient area! We really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space and the well-stocked kitchen was totally ready for us to cook meals in. My only “complaint” is that the decor/furnishings are pretty outdated, but it’s all in great shape and the decor doesn’t matter when you have such a stunning view!

Fantastic!
We’ve been to Kauai many times and always in the Poipu area but this was our first time at Whaler’s Cove. It was absolutely wonderful! We booked through a broker (Parrish Collection) which was smooth. The view from our unit (137) was spectacular -- we loved just sitting out on the deck looking at the waves, listening to the crashing waves, and watching turtles play. Our kids loved the beautiful pool which was never crowded. Two separate bedrooms upstairs and were plenty spacious for the two of us plus our two teenage boys (and a friend who slept on the couch downstairs). The kitchen was spacious and stocked with everything we needed. Like most condos, there is no A/C but fans and the breeze did the trick. Washer and dryer in the unit was nice to have. Plenty of parking in the lot which was never too full. My only “con” would be that the water pressure in this unit wasn’t great. I would (and probably will) definitely stay here again!

Places are fabulous.
This is our third time for staying at Whaler’s Cove and a second time in #137. The view. We also liked that it was painted this last time which is great because it really needed it. Love the new artwork on the walls too. New fan in the master bathroom is great also. Sliding screen door constantly falls off the track even though we were very careful. Screen on the front screen door was falling apart. We had this same issue with the sliding screen door the year before also. Only reported the front screen door (forgot to mention back screen door). The cockroaches were out of control on our lanai. We could not go out at night as they were everywhere out there and they were HUGE! We bought roach motels and put them on the lanai (as we know that the Island does get critters), but they were still everywhere at night. We used to like to turn off the lights on the lanai at night and just look at the stars and the ocean, but because of the cockroaches, we did not feel comfortable going out on the deck.

The Whalers Cove AOAO sprays regularly on a rotation, but we can ask that this unit gets an extra treatment or two to prevent this from happening again. Safe would not unlock. Talking through a reset did not resolve, sent prop manager out who was able to resolve in person. Very prompt turnaround, and great recognition that not being able to access our valuables was an issue that needed quick resolution

This location is perfect! Snorkeling, whale watching, great food and shopping are all close by!
This is a lovely property! The unit overlooks the ocean and the sound of ocean waves lulled me to sleep each night. Everything is within walking distance, including fabulous sushi and açaí bowls, snorkeling and diving. The unit is open, well appointed and inviting! This is a gem and I will definitely return!

Poipu location, oceanfront condo, quality of furnishings, and pool.
Location, quiet, views, layout of condo and pool. There was another Hobbs party renting another Parrish unit at the same time, and there was some confusion on Parrish’s part that we had paid our required fees.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
Great condo thur Parrish Kauai Rentals. Well stocked, clean unit. Had an issue with the coffee maker one morning but Parrish was quick to respond. Great ocean views from the lanai. Very quiet complex. Lovely orchid garden out front. Close to shopping & dining.

We have been to this resort before and always enjoy ourselves. We also appreciate your staff being very approachable about problems and sorting future rental requests. The toilets in this unit are VERY old and are awkward to flush plus we were disturbed by intermittent sounds of running water.

Parking can be pretty tight at office-especially when navigating around delivery trucks. Lived up to its billing as deluxe and not premium. Pretty darn nice, but not super. In bathroom with twin beds (we used as king) toilet lid is cracked and toilet tank would fill several times during the night. No laundry detergent was found.

Lovely oceanfront propery
Whaler’s Cove #137 is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The views of the ocean and the sound of the waves are wonderful. It is a terrific place to stay o the South Shore and I highly recommend it!

The view from our lanai was spectacular!
The property is well maintained and manicured. We had a couple little issues in our condo but maintenance took care of them the next day.

Whalers Cove 137
While we loved the condo’s location, we feel a few things should be addressed for a property of this caliber: 1. The chairs on the lanai are outdated, heavy, need painting and the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever sat in. THE main feature of this property is the lanai and view; however, the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. 2. Would be nice to add a chaise lounge to the lanai. 3. Most of the chaise lounges in the pool area were ripped and needed repair. 4. The refrigerator is too large for the kitchen area or there may be a ventilation problem, but the kitchen was always hot even when not cooking. 5. The master bed headboard is worn through and should be recovered.

Unbeatable location and view but owner of unit 137 has less than a total commitment of pride of ownership.
Location can’t be beat. Unit 137 was two levels with bedroom upstairs and this got to be tedious for the long stay. The condo had less than sterling maintenence with almost half of the windows not working well, if at all. With no air conditioning it’s hard to keep the place comfortable at times if windows can’t be easily opened. There were many areas on walls that were dirty and smudged, needing paint, and a floor reading lamp did not work at all. There was a broken and non-functioning smoke detector on the top floor. The biggest objection was a couch and two chairs, along with their pillows, in living room that reeked of stale sweat and couldn’t be used without a heavy spraying of deodorant and placement of towels over areas used to sit. They badly need replacement and it’s doubtful they can be cleaned to eliminate the awful odor. When trying to use the vacuum cleaner it was found that the water tank to catch the dust had horrible fetid stinking water and was therefore not usable. The carpet was dirty in places and there was no umbrella on the lanai which made it hard to use since the sun shined in very hot most of the day. Some other units had umbrellas as they should. In essence, though we’d return to the property, it would not be this particular unit. For the cost the place should have been spotless and everything working. Parrish had this unit and a few others but is located in Koloa. They were good at responding to problems.

Superb location and views
Wonderful views from deck, loved the location, lovely layout and spacious but the condo needs tuning up, it is very tired, needs some new furniture etc.

Too nice
Incredible place. We are all planning our next trip back to the same place and we haven’t left yet. Arrived on Thanksgiving day! Picked up our turkey and fixings from Living Foods with plans to hit the beach while it cooked. My family arrived and checked out the spectacular view and decided to stay and watch football ball with the crashing ocean waves in the background. Beds are comfortable, very clean, cozy and relaxing. Best VRBO I’ve ever stayed in.

Unbelievable location. Very nicely appointed and well cared for. Pool are and grounds were impeccable. Wasn’t quite ready for no air conditioning but all but one night was fine. Can’t wait to come back. This unit and Kauai are amazing.

Our stay at Whalers Cove was wonderful. The location is beautiful. Just a few feet from the ocean and the most awesome shower with a window to look out to the water. no beach at the condo but Poipu is a quick drive. We would certainly stay here again. Kauai is also our favorite island.

We have stayed before and with Parrish and find everything is up to par in terms of cleanliness, outfitting, and of course the setting. Small detail -- there is a broom but no dustpan. Would have been helpful when sand found its way in.

Wonderful Oceanfront Experience!
My husband and I stayed here during the second week of our honeymoon. The pictures online did not do it justice! Amazing ocean views right from your balcony! It was clean, quiet and well equiped with anything you could need (even beach chairs and a small cooler). The shower even overlooks the ocean! We snorkeled right in front of Whaler’s Cove and saw several sea turtles and on our last day, saw dolphins while eating breakfast on the lanai. The pool is lovely and not crowded, just what you need to relax. The only negative is that we wish it were closer to a beach (Sheraton Beach is a decent 20+ min walk). Would highly recommend this unit!

Quiet great view
clean,great view, lots of whales, pool was empty most of the time which we loved. Barbeque area was not up to rest of units standards. Also like to see the kitchen better stocked with a few funtional pans and a broiler pan. The unit itself was very nice, spacious, clean well designed. Had a great time and would go back.

Breathtaking

Heavenly condo in Poipu
This is the second time we have stayed at this condo and we absolutely love it! The location is terrific -- right next to the ocean. We saw whales and sea turtles while sitting on our lanai. The new shopping center a block away is a terrific addition to the neighborhood, which has a great grocery store with fantastic baked goods and an espresso bar to visit after our morning walk. We plan to go back whenever we can!

January in paradise!!
I rented this property on line and didn’t know what to expect but it was everything and more. We had a wonderful time and the condo was absolutely great. Now to remember the first look from the lanai to the most wonderful bath essentials, oh my, what I wouldn’t give to be back there. The folks at Parrish went out of their way to be there for us at every turn. If you want to rent a property this is the place to be and the best agents ever. Get ready to feel the tradewinds, watch the whales, taste the fruit, listen to the surf and relax for your time there.
