This distinguished award from Honolulu Magazine recognizes the best places to dine in the Hawaiian Islands. Travel and Leisure also honored The Beach House as one of the top 37 romantic restaurants in the United States and The Daily Meal listed it as a “World’s 30 Best Restaurants for Sunset Views” (the sole representative of the Hawaiian Islands). You’ll definitely know that you’re in paradise when you dine here and sample the best of romantic Kauai.
Kauai Dining at The Beach House
The talented kitchen team strives to make the most of local ingredients. The catch of the day is so fresh that even the local fishermen have put their names on the menu. Beef is sourced from island ranches and artisan bakers offer their specialties. The gracious service is hard to beat. We found it attentive and efficient at every meal. There are also special menus for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diners.
Tips from Pat, the Parrish Kauai Guest Concierge. “Don’t miss the scallops – the most tender, melt in your mouth that I’ve ever tasted. Good food, a relaxed atmosphere, first class service and of course, an unbeatable view. This is the perfect spot to photograph tropical Kauai sunsets or stroll along the shoreline walkway to watch the local surfers and turtles snacking on the reef. Don’t forget to call early for dinner reservations. We’re at your service to help.”
Lunch menu is simple and straight forward. Try a lunch salad for under $15 or entree up to $20. Bring the kids too and they’ll be offered a Keiki menu just for them. At our recent Parrish Kauai team luncheon at The Beach House, we were impressed with the salads and Crispy Crab Stuffed Ahi Rolls. The Kauai beach view is always to die for and you may even spot seasonal Hawaii whales while you dine.
Dinner menu changes often but is consistently creative. Entrees are priced from $20 to $43 and salads or appetizers from $9 to $18. The wine selection is exceptional. Arrive early for Kauai sunset and the best views. Even after dark you can still see the rolling surf illuminated and hear the familiar sound that provides a relaxing backdrop to any island meal. Their trademark dishes appear regularly like Kauai Beet Salad and Macademia Nut Butter Sauteed Fresh Hawaiian Catch with tropical seasonings. For dessert try their Molten Chocolate Desire which offers a decadent finale with Lappert’s Ice Cream.
New Interior Features Classic Hawaiian Ambiance A palette of ocean colors is emphasized and tropical bamboo accents highlight the new carpeting and furnishings. The upper terrace railing has been lowered to open up the ocean views from every seat in the house. Step into the bar and lounge area and you will notice better seating and more space to relax with your favorite cocktail before dinner.
The Beach House Kauai is truly a special place and the epitome of tropical Kauai dining.

We have eaten here twice over a few years. The food is excellent, very expensive but worth it for those special occasions.
The bad sides are a very limited menu, and if you are really into wine….that menu is longer than your arm.

Been here so many times. Love it. Aptly named. I have seen more whales here than any other spot on the island, except from my boat. New treatments are a welcome addition. Food is some of the best in the whole state and fairly priced. Owners wonderful. You won’t be disappointed!

Hi Deb! Is that you?

We have been here several times; for either drinks and sunset, or both. Every time is memorable. The staff could not be more professional in a very busy and often chaotic space. It is often hard to tell who is there just to watch the sunset and who is there as a customer. But it doesn’t matter! Staff treats everyone the same!! The sunsets are simply the best. Combined with great food and drinks it is a must if you are on Kaui.
