The magic begins when you book your stay from our Romance Collection. These exceptional properties include everything from oceanfront Kauai vacation rentals at Poipu Beach to Kauai cottages for two.
Six Kauai Places That Inspire Romance
1. Watch a magnificent Kauai sunset.
As the top of the sun is about to sink, you might catch a second of a green flash if you don’t blink. It happens quick and is subtle. This is the last color seen before the light disappears. You must have a clear Kauai weather day for a chance to see the green light. Thanks to the long horizon over the Pacific, the green flash is easier to see.
2. Take a scenic Kauai drive to the Kalalau Valley overlook.
After the crowds leave drive up country past Waimea Canyon to the last overlook at Kokee. Be one of only a handful to gaze at the Kalalau Valley as it gently slopes to the ocean. Be prepared for an Aha moment and breathe in the serenity of this ancient Hawaiian landmark. If you are feeling more adventurous, take your partner on a short hike next to the rim on the Pihea Trail.
3. Walk on your favorite Kauai beaches.
Take your pick from the long stretch of sand at Hanalei Bay, to the secluded end of Anini Beach or the spectacular Polihale which has been recognized as the most secluded beach on earth. These are just a few of the many Kauai beaches to choose from. Plan your Kauai vacation off season and enjoy placing your footprints in the sand with fewer crowds and more places to call your own.
4. Relax with a day spent at a famous Hawaii spa.
Pamper yourself and purchase a daily guest pass to the Anara Spa at the Grand Hyatt Kauai with its 45,000 square feet of gardens, waterfalls and pools. Another option is to contact our Guest Concierge and request a massage at your rental.
5. Experience the ocean from a Holo Holo Charter.
Book a Kauai boat tour and enjoy the Kauai sunset and seasonal Hawaii whale watching. A gourmet dinner is included and views you will always remember of the famous Na Pali Coast that few have the opportunity to see.
6. Feast on fine Kauai dining and a romantic dinner for two at the end of your day.
Red Salt at the Koa Kea Hotel offers a selection of entrees from Prime Wagyu New York Steak with red salt fries and a trio of dipping sauces, to uniquely prepared island fish delights. Beach House Restaurant has not-to-be-missed oceanfront dining and evening cocktails. The Shops at Kukuiula offers many choices too including the new Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Eating House 1849.

My favorite secluded beauty is Secret Beach. Not recommended for swimming- just get your feet wet. But the scenery is breathtaking. The hike is worth it. Just be sure to take flashlight (I use a headlamp to keep hands free), if you plan to watch the sun set.

I am having a hard time choosing between Anini beach and Hanalei Bay for my favorite spot on the Island. I was lucky enough to spend a few days at a Bed & Breakfast near Hanalei Bay two years ago and truly enjoyed the beautiful island. Would love to visit again!
