Here is a top pick for Kauai snorkeling and highly recommended to our Kauai vacation rental guests. While the strip of sand is narrow on this Kauai beach especially during high tide, the main attraction here is underwater. There is an amazing array of colorful fish to see especially early in the day. You can rent snorkel gear next to the famous Beach House restaurant nearby or join a snorkeling tour. Our guest concierge can book your spot and help with other Kauai activities.
Unlike Tunnels Beach, this is a drive up snorkeling destination. Entry to the ocean is easy and water depth slopes to 15 feet. Surfers will be catching waves further out, but the inner area is well protected. You’ll have to watch out for a drift to the right that is stronger when those surfers are getting good waves.
Our Kauai vacation rentals nearby include Sunset Makai Hale, Hale Luana, as well as our Kauai condos at Whalers Cove and Lawai Beach Resort.
