Hi! We will be staying at The Palm House in June. What beach equipment (beach chairs, snorkeling, ice chests), if any, is available at the house? Thanks!
JP says
Aloha Jackie, The Palm House at Princeville has at least eight Tommy Bahama chairs, a large hard wheeled cooler, some boogie boards, a foam surfboard and some beach toys. We recommend you rent snorkeling gear for the best size matches, etc.

We’ve used Parrish’s grocery service several times. The last time was in late November, 2018. Everything on my list was already put away before we arrived on a 9:00 p.m. flight. It was nice to head directly to our rental and enjoy a cold beer and snacks before going to bed. Excellent service!!!
JP says
Aloha Marti! Mahalo for your comments. We look forward to hosting you again soon. A hui hou.
Roberta Eads says
Aloha, What is the service fee for grocery delivery?
JP says
Aloha Roberta, we will email you the costs of our concierge services.

Our family of 8 adults will be staying at Makai Cottages #18 and #19 in October. In addition to grocery shopping will you also do Wine and Liquor?
We are also interested in having at least one night having a private chef prepare our meal. Would it be possible to see a menu with ideas of what a chef might choose to prepare?
Additionally I would like to know if the cottages are fully stocked with towels and linens including beach or pool towels as well as soaps shampoos.
Lastly, I would like the names of recommended Helicopter tours, and Fishing charters. Thanks Raymond
JP says
Aloha Raymond. We look forward to hosting you soon. I have sent your request to your Island Host and she will contact you directly to everything up. Mahalo and see you on island soon.
Julianne English says
I would like to see a menu as well, and price of private chef for us, during our stay from November 9-20
Also, Please let us know about the shopping before arrival, and how we go about that, we would definitely like hawaii’s Fresh fruit delivered, amongst other things.
Also, I was interested in the farm experience, and in house massage…
JP says

Hello we are going to be staying at the Nihi Kai villas unit #511 in a couple of weeks. We are wondering if there are any beach chairs, boogie boards or coolers in this unit. Also, what is the closest place to rent things like bikes or snorkel gear. I’ve heard about a place called Boss Frogs and Snorkel Bobs. Which one is closest to the Villas?
Thank you so much
Gina
JP says
Aloha Gina – Your Nihi Kai Villa comes with beach gear. If you need anything more, check with our front desk staff at Nihi Kai. They can direct you to places to rent snorkel equipment and bikes. Boss Frogs is located at The Beach House and on Poipu Road very close to Snorkel Bob’s. Both are within a 5 minute drive of Nihi Kai. While each have snorkel gear, only Boss Frogs includes bicycle rentals. Have a great stay on Kauai! Best Wishes from Parrish Kauai

Good Morning! My family and I are renting 5 condos at poipu kapili resort (56,18,23,27 and 38) as well as one in Waikomo Stream Villas (533) and in December and just had a few questions to help with deciding what to bring and what may be available in the condo. Are water floats allowed in pool? Do the condos have any for use? Do you have tennis requests for rent/use or should we bring our own?
Do the condos have beach towels as well as regular use towels?
Thank you for your feedback!
Jen
JP says
Aloha Jen,
Thank you again for choosing The Parrish Collection, we look forward to hosting you. Poipu Kapili has tennis courts for guest use and the front office on site has a few rackets available for guests to sign out. Also note there is a local tennis club nearby with eight courts, round robins, clinics, lessons and rackets available for a small fee.
Each unit is furnished with fresh bedding, bath and kitchen towels as well as beach towels. We do not require pool toys in the units, but often some are left behind by others. The official Poipu Kapili house rules state: “Water-wings, “floaties” and all flotation devices attached to the body are allowed, but please, no large pool toys, rafts, and boogie or surf boards.”. However you are free to take any items to the beach.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any additional questions. Safe travels and we are looking forward to welcoming you on Kauai.
Mahalo, Pat

Pat says
Aloha Brenda,
Thank you again for choosing Parrish Kauai. The unit is equipped with beach chairs, towels and a small cooler for your use so certainly do not have to pack that. We recommend renting snorkeling equipment so you get the right sizes and fit as well as the best equipment…snorkel Bob’s is one of the favorites. Also, for your reference, the there are hairdryers and custom shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap to use during your stay.
We look forward to welcoming you!

My husband and I are staying in unit Sealodge at Princeville Unit D5 3700 Kamehameha Road, Princeville, Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii from Den 26th-Jan 4th 2015.
We want to make sure there are beach chairs and beach towels in our condo?
Also we would love to have a fan we can use in our bedroom at night. We have one at home and the background noise would help us feel at home. Is there a fan (portable) we can use in this unit while we are visiting?
Thank you—we can’t wait for our visit!
Amber says
Aloha Kelli,
We look forward to your arrival! Your Sealodge condo has at least 2 beach chairs, a small beach cooler and we provide beach towels. I put in a request to have a stand up fan placed in your unit. If we can be of any further assistance to make your trip that more memorable, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Mahalo,
Amber Fernandez

We will be staying at one of the Club Cottages later this year and I noticed you have a grocery shopping service. Could you give me an idea of what your service fee will be? We would find this a very helpful service for our first day there!
John
JP says
Aloha John,
Thank you for your comment on our blog…I just left you a voicemail as well. I am the Island Host for The Parrish Collection and will be greeting you at your cottage in November. We offer a custom grocery fulfillment and delivery service for a fee of 25% over the cost of the groceries. Due to shipping constraints, certain liberties may need to be take with respect grocery requests, so please indicate if there are specific items you want, and if they’re not available, I will not purchase an alternative item (i.e. Post Raisin Bran vs. Kellogg’s Raisin Bran…or none at all). Please send your grocery list at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival, so that I can schedule accordingly. I’ll have the groceries in your vacation home prior to your arrival. Thanks again, and I look forward to meeting you in November!
Mahalo,
Mike

Hi, one more question. I would like to find out more about the tennis available at HBR. Is there a contact phone number or email or something listing the programs available? Thanks!!

I recommend stopping at Fish Express (listed under specialty stores on the same list mentioned above) close to the airport for the largest selection of fish, sauces and “lunch to go” between 10-2pm. When exiting the airport, continue straight on Ahukini Road to traffic light intersection with Hwy 56. Turn right and Fish Express will be on your left a few blocks up, across form WalMart, open till 6pm. Once you’re on the north shore, about 6 miles north in Hanalei town is the Dolphin restaurant and fish market.
For groceries, the largest selection and best rates will be at Safeway, open 24 hrs about 10 miles north of the airport. Locally, in Princeville is Foodland, open daily from 7a – 11p.
Hanalei Bay Resort Tennis Pro Shop: 808-821-8225, open daily 8a – 6p, closed 12p-3p. Court reservations are recommended and use is complimentary for guests of HBR. Lessons $75hr
Clinics are Mon – Thurs. 9am clinic for 3.0 – 3.5 ($25 off prop $17 HBR M-Thurs. They also offer Sunday morning doubles, (4-6 players) at $7.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you! Please let me know if I may assist in any way.

I will be at one of your properties next week, HBR 9323. Can you tell me whether it has beach chairs and beach towels. Also, can you tell me where to grocery shop enroute from Lihue Airport to HBR? I would also like to know where the fish market is located. Thanks, Anne
Annetta Kuntz says
We will be arriving on Jan 11 to Unit 509. Can you tell me if there are beach chairs available for this unit? If not, can you tell me if there is a rental agency where we could arrange to have beach chairs rented in advance of our arrival?
thank you
Pat says
Aloha Annetta, Thanks for your note and for choosing The Parrish Collection. The unit you have reserved, Nihi Kai 509, has two sand chairs and plenty of beach towels in the unit for your use. We are looking forward to welcoming you! Happy New Year!

I have rented a home through you. (Hale Nolina). Our party consists of ten people – 7 adults and 3 children. We would like to know if there is/are any local fish mongers so we can purchase some fresh fish – ahi, etc. Also, the locations and name of local super markets as my adult children are going to be handling all of the food preparation and they would prefer to do their own shopping. I am also going to be viewing the info on Farmer’s Markets and printing that info. Thank you. We arrive 1/9/14.
Pat says
Aloha Marta,
Thank you again for choosing The Parrish Collection Kauai and we are looking forward to welcoming you all. For your reference, please review our list of local grocery stores and fish markets on our website under the About navigation above, under Shopping. It has all the info you will need to plan your stay.
The Koloa fish market is close (about 3 miles) from the home you’ll be in and is open Mon – Fri 10am – 6pm and 10 – 5 on Saturdays. I asked a local fisherman I book for private charters if he would sell fish if he catches during your stay and he said he’d call me so I can let you know. I gave him the dates you’ll be here and I will stay in touch. I’m happy to ask other Captains that offer charters and will let you what I find. I will put the word out for you and stay in touch.
Mahalo and Happy New Year!

Hello,
My fiancée and I just made a reservation and we are staying in Hale Plumeria from March 31- April 12 2010. We will be getting married in your beautiful island. Please, e-mail me information i.e. reputable wedding places. There are vast selections which makes it very difficult to decide. Your help is greatly appreciated.
JP says
Hi Maria,
Thank you for choosing The Parrish Collection for your upcoming visit to Kauai. We certainly look forward to hosting you for your wedding!! Congratulations!
There are so many beautiful places in Kauai to get married. There are some new laws in place regarding weddings on the beaches and other state property, so we need to make sure we follow those…therefore, I highly recommend working with a wedding coordinator that can assist you with a location and details. We have several referrals, so whether you are something outdoors and informal, or more exotic, we have you covered.
Pat from our office will email you directly some more specifics and we look forward to hearing all about your special day. Mahalo, JP

There are many activities young children can enjoy: a sunset catamaran, Na Pali snorkeling tours, Fern Grotto boat tours, Hula shows, luaus and our course plenty of scenic beaches and parks for the children to play in. Once we determine the best schedule for you, we will secure reservations and provide driving directions, phone numbers and helpful hints in your arrival packet.
