Whaler's Cove

Excellent well-appointed property with spectacular ocean views. Sadly, could experience sunsets from our balcony but still an excellent short holiday location

Truly wonderful condo with astounding view of the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful pool. Quiet surroundings with great snorkeling from the premises - turtles every day - and heady surfing beaches just 5 minutes away! Easy access to restaurants of to suit every taste. And... excellent, friendly staff support. This would be the perfect getaway but for one catch - no AC. Despite the ceiling fans and several supplied floor fans, the overnight temperature in the bedrooms made for stifling heat and broken, restless sleep. We rented in late June and, no doubt, in the cooler seasons this may not be be such an issue but check the forecast for your proposed stay!

We visited Kauai with our two kids (8 & 12) and had the best time in this condo! We loved the location right on the water with the sparkling pool and immaculate grounds. Our kids had a blast in the pool while my husband and I lounged overlooking the water, catching glimpses of whales and SO many turtles. The complex was never crowded or noisy and we enjoyed meeting other renters/owners. The hot tub was used every day—sometimes twice! Our balcony was a relaxing place to read or whale watch. The condo itself was very comfortable and clean. We made most dinners there and had all the equipment needed—even nice non-stick pans for morning eggs! Beds were comfortable too. We loved the soap, shampoo, lotion, tissues, dish soap, laundry detergent...all the things so many rentals forget to provide. There was SO much communication, we felt cared for. It was an amazing place and we would rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you!

Perfect accommodations!!

Paradise!!!

This adjoining (by the lanai) 2-unit condo was a perfect fit for our family! Plenty of room-but in the mornings for coffee & breakfast and evenings for drinks & conversation, we would all congregate in the larger unit, which fit us all comfortably! The view was absolutely gorgeous!!! Walking distance to Baby Beach and general location of condo was close to many stops & shops! The pool was beautiful, but the day we arrived the swells were so huge that the waves were crashing over the rocks and flooded the pool with sea water and sand. This caused a weeks worth of attention and work on the pool which also meant that the pool was closed until they got it back in working order. On our last full day there, they were finally able to open the pool! YAY!!! We took full advantage of it and enjoyed it for hours! All in all, we were so impressed and in love with our stay that no one wanted to leave! But really, who ever wants to leave Paradise?

Great condo

Would stay here again. Great condo. Remarkably furnished and well stocked. There is no A/C at Whaler\'s Cove, but the November temperature was mild (maybe it is that way year-round) and with lots of fans in the unit, we were comfortable. Very quiet and relaxing place, very close to shopping and eating.

Vacation - 2021

This place is so beautiful. The decor is Hawaii perfect. Beds so very comfortable and the condo has absolutely everything you could need for a perfect stay. Best of all, the view is spectacular. Morning coffee on the patio watching the dolphins play was such a treat. The location is perfect; close to the best restaurants, shopping, beaches and snorkeling. We will be back.

What a great location! This place was super convenient to lots of things, and the lanai was right over the water! we were able to sit out there and watch so many things - turtles, dolphins, scuba divers, etc. The condo was well-appointed and very clean when we got there. Our arrival was super easy. Plenty of space, and everything we needed was in the kitchen. We look forward to coming back soon!

Great place, love Whaler's Cove!

This is a great condo with a fantastic view of the ocean and Whaler\'s Cove, where we saw sea turtles swimming daily! The pool is lovely and well maintained, and the property is clean and quiet. The condo is great for families as the second bedroom has two twins with their own bathroom.

Absolutely beautiful perfect place to stay

This is a perfect place for a family of 4 (2 beds). We were 5 and it was fine as there is a sofa bed. I would say 6 would be tight. There is no air conditioning and it can get warm but with the balcony doors open - not a problem. Everything else is absolutely wonderful. Well stocked with much appreciated extras like laundry detergent pods and salt and pepper as well as shampoo etc. Basically thought of everything. The view is spectacular Furniture and bedding are high quality and comfortable Décor is beautiful Even Nice touches like a book on the history of movies in Kauai. Pool is nice but wish it was infinity. Short walk to shops/food. Close to Poipu beaches. Parking easy. We have stayed in excellent places around the world and this is memorable. Price is fair. Would definitely return if going back to Kauai and prefer to stay here over brand name resorts.

Fully equipped spacious condo with waterfront views, pool and Jacuzzi, and turtle watching. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Be aware of multiple high fees tacked on to basic room price.

great place, roomy and great landlord! note that their is no a/c but they do have fans. on most nights when the wind was strong you could sleep with the back screens open and get some air flow.

Lovely property

We had 2 adjoining condos at Whalers’ cove. Both were clean & well-appointed. Beds were comfortable. The view from our lanai was gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only negative with this property is that there is no beach. You must drive to a beach.

Great location

The condos had a beautiful view. Very nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows for even more comfort. The only downside of this property is that there is no beach access. We had to drive to beaches.

Luxurious comfort

This condo is beautiful, comfortable, and extremely well appointed for an enjoyable stay. The property is well cared for and the views of the ocean, sea turtles, dolphins, sunrises and sunsets are amazing! Easy walk to snorkeling, nearby shops and restaurants a plus.

Beautiful unit, but lots of items had to be repaired or were not working properly. Screen door in the living room fell off its track. Cold water faucet in bathroom did not work. Ceiling fan in living room only turned at slow speed. Only one floor fan worked.

Overall very satisfied.

The interior of the property is starting to show its age. Nice staff. Climate change is building a need for A/C. One of the bathroom faucets was not operational. We notified your staff upon departure because it really didn’t impact us. Update the décor.

Our first time in Kauai

Whalers Cove was perfect for our first time in Kauai. The kitchen is fully stocked and the view is stunning. We could see turtles swimming from our balcony. There were 3 beach chairs for our use. I also liked that they had a drying rack. I hung our swim suits on it and placed it in front of the doors to the balcony and they were dry in no time. There is no A/C but with the breeze that comes off the water it wasn’t an issue. The location is great, we could walk to the shops at Kukuiula and it’s a quick drive to the Koloa village shops.

Very special location

We saw the property had a safe but they would not allow the guests to use it… our other rental experiences have offered a safe. We also would have wanted four beach chairs and an umbrella. The view was fabulous and the bedrooms beautiful. We could never get the tv’s in the bedrooms to work.

Beautiful Hawaii Stay

here was nothing Our son and daughter in law with us for a wonderful stay. I use VRBO a lot all over the world. I can not say enough about the quality and beauty of this place. I was so amazed by the amount of amenities provided. Except for our food everything was here. The kitchen bathrooms and house had everything thing and more you would need and of high quality. Cooking here was a pleasure with any pot pan or tool to do the job. Truly a 5 star place. WE will return!!!

Location and professionalism

Had requested queen bed in second bedroom which was subsequently converted after a call to the office. Also had not received laundry soap in the unit. Sliding doors and screens have some problems but believe this is a known issue and did not hinder our experience.

Just a great place??????

Lovely condo, great location, beautiful views, well maintained, nice linens, great pool, lovely garden surroundings. Actually found the reservation confusing, had no idea I was booking with Parrish, maybe some explanation up front would be helpful? If the insurance sales are not part of The Parrish Collection, this should be made clear and correspondence should be by email as the rest of the booking process. Liked the condo, did not know it was Parrish, thought it was Home Away, Surprised to be charged a very high registration fee.

Views were outstanding.

Location and small size of complex -- it was very quiet. Screens on doorwalls kept falling off track and did not lock -- this should be addressed especially for a rental without a/c.

check in is quicker than a big resort hotel, you get to pick exactly the place YOU want, and if you have any issues Parrish staff is on call and super helpful. Our first return visit with Parrish was nice and smooth. It was our second Parrish rental overall. Very pleased. The only thing I could possibly say is that the two twin mattresses in this unit are softer and more comfortable than the master bed. The master bed wasn’t bad at all but that was the one thing that wasn’t totally outstanding.

Beautiful property and location!

Hello! Convenient office location, great property. Every person I dealt with were very helpful and friendly. Overall we had a great stay, the owner may consider replacing the master bedroom matress, as that’s the only complaint I have. Just not a comfortable sleep, but otherwise a beautiful property and excellent service.

Whalers Cove #222

Morgan was very friendly and quite willing to show us other condos. She helped us make another reservation for October this year. She also offered a discounted rate which we appreciate. Thank you, Morgan. The light switch in the kitchen was not working properly. The electrician was out twice but did not correct the problem. The light kept going out till we left. Also the refrigerator was leaking water but they replaced it.

We stayed at Whaler's Cove 5 years ago and had a wonderful experience.

our unit was very nice although the appliances (washing machine, dish washer, and refrigerator) all needed repair. We had a wonderful time during our stay but the time spent with maintenance people in our unit could have been prevented if someone had checked on the above appliances and made sure they were in good running order before we started our stay. Thank you for your concern!
